Expanding our reach by visiting Krewe in St Joseph, a nice drive (1:20 hr) from Minneapolis. Krewe is a welcoming place for lunch or dinner. We had the shrimp jambalaya, crab cakes, and cornbread. All were very good - with the cornbread and its honey butter standing out. The jambalaya was filled with sausage, shrimp and vegetables - with a bit of New Orleans spice. The crab cakes were generous with tasty side sauces. Our cocktails were well crafted. Afterward, we shopped local bakeries and shops.

This place deserves more than 4.6 stars. 5 star all around. Haven’t had jambalaya since being in New Orleans and this was better than what I had down there. Good home cooking and real recipes, good drinks, good beer. Brought my 12-year-old daughter and wasn’t sure if she would like the food they accommodated her with items that weren’t necessarily on the menu to prepare her steak and fries. I was about to lick the bowl after eating my jambalaya, and even my daughter liked it. Will be back again and again

This is an unique restaurant. The food was delicious. The staff was helpful. The Louisiana style food is a treat you need to experience. From the large hush puppies to the spicy shrimp etouffee to the well-puffed beignets, the perfection was in each dish. All the food looked fabulous and I can wait to go back to try more.

I was in town to see some friends and we were all excited to try Krewe. First off, Laura was an awesome and friendly server. Louisiana style is done right here. I ordered the duck breast, crab cakes, and shrimp etouffee. The duck was juicy, crab cakes were creamy, and the etouffee was perfectly spicy and savory. Other highlights of the table were the charred cabbage (surprisingly packed with flavor), jambalaya, grilled flat iron, and hush puppies. Portion sizes and food quality are rock solid. They also have an option to purchase drinks for the cooks, couldn't pass on that opportunity. Long review to say, Krewe is outstanding! We will be back.

Flavour bomb, after flavour bomb, after flavour bomb, the man knows what he is doing! Mateo’s sensational food was recommended to me by a close friend and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Go all in and try it all. Hats off Mateo - you’ve really built something amazing.

Made a reservation and stopped in for lunch. This place was delicious, we ordered the oysters, must have, they were to die for! There was 4 different types and we tried one of each. The best appetizer was the fried green tomato, another must order if your looking for something tasty! We had a great meal, split a bunch of appetizers, had a few drinks and enjoyed a great time! Would not hesitate to recommend this joint.

Some friends and I came for dinner over the weekend, and all I can say is WOW. This might be my new favorite restaurant in the area. We all got different entrees and loved them all--I got the maque choux, which was so flavorful and just as good as it looks. We also shared some crab cakes, which were so good I didn't have time to take a picture! The restaurant was busy, but our server was attentive and we didn't have to wait too long for our food to come. I'm so happy I tried this place and can't wait to come back!

Everything was deserving of five stars. Food, beverage options, ambience, our server (Grace) but I am going to give a shout out to our first point of contact. I didn’t get his name but he brought us water and kept us hydrated throughout our visit. First impressions are important and he was very personable and a great ambassador for Krewe. Good work sir.
